Peak Support Q&A: Patricia Panibio
Anybody who knows Trish can vouch for how hard working she is. But when she’s not busy doing her job, you can find Trish relaxing in scenic Tagaytay. Although she’s really shy, once Trish gets comfortable with you, then you’ll get to see her funny side. Her taste in music varies depending on her mood. From K-Pop groups such as BTS and Seventeen, to American bands such as Alesana and Paramore, you name it, she listens to it. Just like most of us, Trish is afraid of growing old. And when it comes to emotional support, she often relies on her life partner for that. Trish’s favorite color is red, and it reminds her that the world is full of love and passion. Her favorite hobbies? Singing and playing the guitar. Read on to learn more interesting things about Trish in Peak Support’s last Q&A blog for 2022.
What excites you the most about the holidays?
Holidays, most especially Christmas and New Year remind me of the best times when my family was still here in the Philippines. My mom would put up the Christmas tree in November and start decorating our house. You’d truly feel the Christmas spirit just by roaming around the house. Although she migrated to the US in 2010, I still get excited about the holidays, maybe because I have so many happy memories about it.
Tell me about your latest trip abroad.
Meeting our client services team and other Peak Support members in the US was a great experience. It was my first time joining a conference to celebrate our milestone at Peak Support so I was a little anxious when we got there, but our client services team made us feel comfortable throughout the trip. I also had a blast meeting and spending time with my family. My aunt from San Francisco used to send us placemats with cable cars and Golden Gate Bridge photos, so finally seeing the attractions in person took my breath away.
Is there anything about yourself that you’d like to change?
My height! I’d like to be taller so I don’t have to hem my pants anymore.
If you could be taller, how many inches more would you like added to your height?
I’m currently 5’2 so an additional 3 inches would be okay.
What are the top 3 qualities of a great problem solver?
- Someone who thinks outside of the box and has a Plan B ready if Plan A doesn’t work. We just have to accept that some things cannot be resolved right away.
- Someone who is emotionally mature and will not involve personal feelings in making decisions.
- Lastly, this person has to be a good listener and hear out where the challenge is coming from, take suggestions, and understand what the goal is.
Whom do you share most of your secrets to?
My partner. He listens without judgment, corrects me when I’m wrong, and most of the time just shares a good laugh with me.
What’s something that you can easily give up?
My cellphone? Just so I can buy a new one. Lol!
Would you wear clothes in your favorite color only for a whole year?
I think I can do that. Most of my clothes are in the color black (my favorite) anyway.
What’s the scariest amusement ride you’ve ever been on?
Not really a fan of intense rides, so I avoid them as much as I can. I’ve only ridden a few, so Enchanted Kingdom’s Space Shuttle ride would be the scariest for me.
Do you have a favorite holiday song?
Not really a favorite, but “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” by Andy Williams is such a beautiful song and it’s timeless. It gets me into the Christmas spirit whenever I hear it.
What was the heaviest thing that you ever lifted?
There was a time when our house was flooded back in 2015. When the water started to enter our house, I don’t know what got into me but I was able to lift our newly bought refrigerator to save it from getting wet.
Have you ever won anything at a casino?
I won $5 in one of the slot machines when we went to Graton. Since it’s my first time winning, I cashed it out right away! With the hopes of winning more, I ended up playing again, and surprise, I lost.
Do you know somebody who has an infectious laugh?
My best friend in high school. She has a huge voice for a woman and laughs like Donald Duck.
What is your Christmas wish this year?
With all the uncertainties in this world, my only wish is good health for me and my loved ones.
How was your 2022?
2022 for me is when life has started to go back to normal. We got rid of face shields, made facemasks optional indoors and outdoors, and travel restrictions started to loosen up. It feels like we’ve won the battle against the Coronavirus and I’m just hoping it will continue in the coming years.
